National Operations Centre Customer Service Administrator

The National Operations Centre Customer Service Administrator will manage the day-to-day administrative duties within the control room, working in accordance to policy, standards and security best practices.

SGS is a security provider throughout the UK, supplying security solutions to retail, transportation, financial, corporate, health, construction, local government, government and much more.

The Role

  • Answering incoming telephone calls within a timely manner
  • Make outgoing calls to security personnel to confirm arrival on site, hourly lone worker check calls and safe departure from site in a safe and timely manner
  • Receive and respond to emails in a professional, courteous and timely manner
  • Determine future staffing requirements on security sites
  • Update incoming roster requests as necessary
  • Liaise with clients, managers and security personnel regarding requests and requirements
  • Adhere to working time regulations and ensure no officer breaches this, training will be provided

Shift Pattern:

There are 2 x 12 rotating shifts which the scheduler must be available to cover, as we operate 24/7 and these are:

  • 06:00-18:00 – day shift
  • 18:00-06:00 – night shift

The roster is:

  • 3 x Day Shift, 3 x Night Shift, 3 x Off

The Candidate

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Confident computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of GDPR regulations would be an advantage, training will be provided
  • SIA license desirable but not essential

We welcome applicants with no previous experience within the security industry as you will receive at least 2 weeks full time training on all computer systems and procedural requirements.

  • 14:00-22:00

  • Early – 4 days ON, then 2 days OFF
  • Mid – 4 days ON, then 2 days OFF
  • Late – 4 days ON, then 3 days OFF

The Candidate
