We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Security Officer to join our dynamic team on a Full Time permanent basis at a Data Centre on the Slough Trading Estate.
Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts 07:00-19:00 & 19:00-07:00, 4 on 4 off shift rotation
MUST be able to work both day and night shift
The role is to provide security services at the Data Centre ensuring compliance, access and egress is performed with the upmost professionalism and vigilance. Protecting the customer’s employees, property and other assets in line with the Assignment Instructions and site-specific customer requirements. Please note that you will be required to work with access control, CCTV systems with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
The role of a Security Officer within a Data Centre can be challenging, especially when you are required to be consistent and polite at all times. Although demanding, this role will allow you to demonstrate your exemplary customer service skills as you engage with customers, clients and visitor throughout each shift, whilst remaining alert to security issues and keeping everyone safe.
You will also be providing health and safety support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises. You will be ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Essential Skills
- To be available to work days, nights and weekends
- Must hold a valid front-line SIA License.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must be over 18.
- Have a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment or full and part-time education during that period.
- No criminal convictions (current or pending).
- Computer literate i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook.
