Since August 2022, we have delivered security services for National Housing Association across multiple locations, ensuring that our services are tailored to each site’s unique needs. The client is a large-scale provider of affordable and specialised housing, with many vulnerable residents across a wide geographical spread throughout England. To cater to these specifications, we were engaged to deliver a professional and rapidly scalable security provision for the client.
Ensuring full regulatory compliance, our Security Officers are fully SIA-licensed across guarding, CCTV and mobile operations. Supporting operational safety and resident reassurance, they are responsible for maintaining a visible yet sensitive presence in environments where tenants may be vulnerable individuals.
Demonstrating the scale of the contract, National Housing Association works alongside 125 local authorities to support a diverse customer base. For this contract, the client required security services covering sites including:

Services we deliver
The scope of services we deliver on this contract include the following across multiple residential schemes nationwide:
- Waking watch fire safety cover
- Manned security provision by deploying licensed Security Officers
- Canine security services
- Concierge and Front of House security services
- Mobile patrols
- CCTV monitoring
- Internal and external patrols
- Incident response and detailed reporting
Overcoming key challenges
A key challenge on this contract was the rapid mobilisation of the necessary workforce of 30 Security Officers. To recruit and onboard all required staff to meet the requirements from day 1, we implemented a structured recruitment process. This includes:
- Robust workforce planning
- Sourcing qualified candidates through a multi-channel approach, using national job platforms, specialist security job boards, our company website and social media pages
- Shortlisting candidates based on valid SIA license, relevant experience and baseline qualifications/skills
- Interviewing and assessing candidates to gauge IT use, travel requirements, availability, prior experience and physical ability
The client also frequently required deployment of Security Officers at short notice. Their requirements ranged from requesting 2 Officers to more than 10 per shift, with locations spanning all across the UK. We have consistently met these demands through an extensive national recruitment network and agile scheduling process, enabled through our innovative MiSentinel Workforce Management System.
Delivering success
Evidencing our success on this contract so far, National Housing Association has extended their contract with us for a further 2 years in September 2025.
We have also received positive feedback from the client expressing appreciation for our capacity to rapidly mobilise deployments at short notice. For example, when a housing association in Hove required urgent cover for 336 hours of guarding per week, we mobilised the following in response to the client’s request:
- 2 Security Officers deployed to site within 2 hours of request
- 8 Security Officers confirmed for shift cover, with the schedule sent to client within 4 hours of request
